Tomoya: uwahh a champion belt?!

*na-san comes in holding in the belt*

[members: eh? What?]

Host: congratulations.

[someone was saying “ isnt that good?]

Toru: eh ah? This is breakable.

Tomoya: eh? Huh?

Host: It suits you!

[Narration: at this point seeing that he’s satisfied, a punishment awaits for the member that was the last place, taka. The punishment is]

Host: here it is, the terrible tasting juice.

[Narration: one ok rock, the terrible tasting juice, its has appeared many times in front of one ok rock, a drink that is super good for the body. The terrible tasting juice, drinking it will hopefully help you to remember things and gain back the love of one o krock!]

*na san removes taka’s hands from his nose*

Taka: No you cant do that!

Host: drink it in one shot. One shot.

[everyones saying he can do it in one shot. ]

[someones saying”taka taka taka taka taka “ then someone says “ are you serious!?”

Someone else” he’s going! He’s going!”

Then “wahh he’s a real man!’]

Na-san: He’s a man!

Ryota: Ehh you drank it!!

Toru: How can you drink it!?!

Host: what is it?

Taka: I want to go home.

[everyone laughs]

Host: ehh well with this situation, lets get into the talks about your new album.

Eh.. jinsei x boku= what kind of album is it? Well lets start from taka.

The new album, what kind of piece is it? Were there any difficulties you met with?

Taka: mmmm nope theres nothing.

[everyone laughs]

[Narration: being down spirited by the juice, we’ll do the introduction, jinsseixboku= will be released on march 6^th, its an album that’s been thought well by each of the members so do listen to it!]

Toru: its tasted super terrible right?

*taka makes a move like he’s gonna puke*

Ryota: its smelly

Toru: uwah! Its so smelly! Our vocal is so smelly!!

[everyone leaves saying it smells. ]

Ryota: though it  was just a little, its smelly, like seriously smelly

[everyone keeps saying its smelly like super smelly]

Toru: eh don’t you have to go for eh-kai (short form for English class) after this?

*taka nods*

[CAPTION: With this smell he leaves for English class!]

Ryota: you should cancel it today.

Tomoya: your teacher is gonna get a shock!

Toru: your teacher wouldn’t really know it right

Toru:  ahh its confirmed then

Ryota: ahh this is risky

Host: well lets see the points you gathered till now

Host (na-san): ahh what should I do? The next question would be 2 points!

Host: Well no one can win with this point!!

Host: na-san! Na-san! The only one who would get a chance would only be tomoya and toru!

Taka: we’re done then

[Narration: What was the fight that was going on until now!? With this the last question is 2k!]

=[ The quiz that also ended with a blast, the 2011 mons quiz,showing one ok rock from a cool to an awesome group they were asked to do a quiz but..though taka and tomoya got it. And as time passed their answers got weary. Then!

Host: hold on hold on hold on…oh a rich meal. Well, how about you read it yourself?

Ryota: A rich…eh? A rich meal? Is it correct? Eh? Eh..a rich…a rich meal?!? A rich meal.

Host: ryota, this is kinda bad

Ryota: ahh but to me I don’t think its bad at all.  Being on this kind of show often, I know at the last stage the points might go up to 50 points per question.  And if I were to give it all in the last stage I might make a comeback.

Host: ahh so you are heating up the programme for us! Thank you very much!

[Is ryota really okay!?! It’s the Final stage!]

Host: it’s the ‘Famous scene quiz!’ it will be a quiz on the legendary moments on monster rock.

Host: well for this quiz..

VIDEO Narration

==[in the year 2010, when they released RE:MAKE they underwent a change. On monster rock, they were voted upon what they looked bad at aiming to remake themselves. The taka that was said to be stingy was asked to leave something valuable.

Toru: how about the keys

Taka: KEYS!?! I told you I cant leave the keys!

Among the gays, the one that dosent look like he’ll get a lot of girls whos tomoya did something to please them.

Then for ryota who was said to be boring by the maids (from the maid café) was asked to do a ‘monomane’ (a comedy act of copying someone).

Ryota: Bakayaro! (You idiot!)

Finally when asked among the children who they hate most….

To remake toru who was chosen  as the one hated the most, he was asked to say something heroic.

(everyone here was saying how there was a time like this… )  ]==

Question:  what did toru say after he became a hero?

Tomoya: ahh what was this!?!

Host: toru, you were the one who said this, don’t you remember? You should remember this right?!

[Narration: What did toru say when he was transformed into a hero? Toru said it himself so he should remember what he said then!]

Host: ok lets start from taka

Taka: kids Hi, then there I think he tripped then ended.

Toru: ahh that’s it! That’s it!

Host: ok lets see tomoya then

Tomoya: Hey Kids then he tripped, then I don’t remember so I think its along the lines like “ I am a hero!”

Host: ok then toru!

Toru: Kids, I will protect the world.

Host: ahh ok so that’s how it is.

Toru: I don’t think I really said this though

Host: ok then ryota

Ryota: I think this is the answer. To the kids, I am a hero.

Host: whats that at the bottom?

Ryota: well its a picture that he tripped

Host: ahh that’s toru!?

Ryota: yeah toru.  He like bit his words then like went “ahh”

Host: ahh of how he tripped you drew it out..

[ now that their answer is out,  with the finaly stage and 50 points at its risk, what did toru say?]

[Narration: then for question 2 it was from 2 years back during one ok rock’s marathon. In the cool outfits they wore, what was the costume tomoya wore was the question. Everyone wrote ‘fencing’ and they all got right so their point remained unchanged. Here daisuke-san had this to say…]

[Narration: All the members of One Ok Rock are gathered to do a quiz to test who loves the band the most and who is the kind in One Ok Rock.

The first stage we tested them based on a ‘humming’ quiz. 2^nd stage was a general knowledge quiz, 3^rd stage they were asked to filled in the blanks on what they said before. 4 th stage was the quiz given by the guests from the VIP show

By the end of the 4^th stage, toru is currently leading, taka and ryota is the last, From here onwards how will be it?!?!]

[QUESTION 3]

Host: Vip question don!

Masasucks: Hello, I was in the Vip show with toru, I’m masasucks. Well, with toru, even in private we drink together and we always play with each other. Ok then here is the question.

What do you think I hate about Toru?

Everyone:EH?!?!

Host: so that is how it is. Well he just said they normally drank with each other and he suddenly gave this quiz.

Host 2: well the way everyone is smoothly writing down their answer is a bit dangerous..

Host : that means that there may be a lot of things to write when asked this question

[The question on what masasucks hates about toru seems to be no problem for the members as compared to the other questions and their answers are….]

Host: ok then from taka!

Taka: his face is too cool

Toru: that’s something to hate?

Taka: yeah, they play together, plays a lot but his face is too cool so its kinda annoying.

[someone says that, that’s something masasucks would say]

Host: okay then lets see tomoya’s!

Tomoya: the part where he’s handsome. I thought this is something masasucks would definitely say.

Taka: ahh that’s what I thought too

[And so with that taka and tomoya  answer is ‘handsome’ to such a question it’s a positive point! Well then what is toru’s answer?]

Toru: talking casually

Host: oh you guys talk casually?

Toru: well even when talking we talk casually and it takes an effort  but its like a flat/outright talking, I like that but maybe he dosent like it that much

Host: ahh so its like that eh.  Ok then ryota?

Ryota: his tension gets higher as the morning rises.

Taka: ahh I get that!!

Ryota: well we drink a lot together,  both with toru and masa-kun. When we start drinking, he’s just really cool then as we keep drinking like around 3 to 4am, his tension gets higher. He’ll be like “lets drink, drink more!” he’ll be like that. At the start, he’s like *makes an action of stoning*

[Everyone’s saying loads of things like “if its like that, he should just go home!” members are agreeing]

The answer is…..

Host: here is the VTR of the correct answer

Masasucks: the answer is the part where he is ridiculously handsome

[taka and tomoya celebrates]

Everytime when we drink, his silhouette  from the back is just so cool and I found that annoying. So the part where he is ridiculously handsome is what makes me mad.

With that taka and tomoya gets 20 points!

Question 4

Host: a quiz from the guests of VIP, DON!

Sakurai: Hi I starred in VIP with tomoya, im sakurai. Eh with tomoya during the drummers meet up and even in private we hang out with each other often. Well here, im going to give a quiz.

What is the part of tomoya that I like?

Host: ok lets write it down…well this question is good isnt it? You’ll feel a bit happy about it..

Tomoya: well if I wrote this wont I look pervetic?

[What does Dragon ash’s sakurai like about tomoya? It would be interesting to see tomoya’s answer!]

Host: well lets see from taka

Taka: I have confidence in this.  Stoic.

Towards anything, he is very stoic. Once he starts something he wont stop until the very end.

Host: tomoya…about yourself

Tomoya: well im very unsure about this but

I think its ‘Smile’

Host: What!?! This..arent you ashamed of yourself?!

[Whole room in laughter]

Toru: wait so you think your smile is nice?

Tomoya: no no its not like that

[the rest: Well its like that right!!]

*tomoya gets all flustered*

Tomoya: NO ITS NOT!!

Toru’s answer:  his answer is always ‘okay!’, as his senior it’s a possible anaswer.

Host: ok next is ryota

Ryota: I think I want to change my answer but…’smile’

But well it means he’s doing it intentionally right.

Tomoya: aish! Who will be calculative about such stuffs!

[with this, even among members there is a new discovery, it would be embarrassing if tomoya got it wrong with his answer ‘smile’, well then what is sakurai’s answer?!]

Host: here is the VTR for the correct answer. DON!

Sakurai: the answer is, his dog-like hair. His hair is just cute, the curls at the end, I really like that. With that, Goodbye!

[With an embarrassing moment for tomoya, this rounds up the 4^th stage.  In this stage, taka and tomoya gets 10 points. Ryota is in the last with just 10 points]

M-on Special [Part 1]

Epilogue – About new album..

Ryota: Among all the albums we’ve released. This was the album with the most response and I think a really “great” album was made.

A confident piece of work.

Well, it’s a confident piece of work cuz we did what really wanted to do. The things we did everytime, the cool things,  we always do ‘em but this time’s album, even if you were to casually browse through it, its a really cool piece of work.

Toru: This time, as compared to our past albums, it’s the one that took the most time. Each song has its own memory  and making each and one of these songs allowed ‘me’ to discover more things.

To be able to see a chance from there, also ’we’ discovered things that made ‘us’ grow. Similar to  going on an adventure. However even when we’re going through this adventure, we still had our eyes on a goal so (its like) running towards (the goal). We were able to grab on the things we wanted to do on this record, and for us we were achieved what we want as well.

In overall, it was an album for one ok rock as a band to take another step further.

Ryota: we were really able to do the things we wanted to do and gave all the energy we had into it. Based on its content, this time we really were particular on the sounds. The recording style was different as well. One song after another we took a lot of time. How can I say this.. we tried our best to get to the sound we imagined and record it so it was satisfying,

Toru: the content is really super no-ko (im sorry I couldn’t get what this meant..it could mean no comment?)  

One song after another..even for the ballad, even for the loud songs, I think our music widened as well,  even through each of those songs. The sounds that we were looking for, the things we wanted to do , because we had experimented it in the past, we were able to make the album and were able to portray ourselves.

Tomoya: this album we really took a long time and seriously made it. The first thing I thought was ‘ a really awesome album was made’. Like how we took all the time and stuffed our devotion into it. I think it came out as a really good album.

Taka: I thought ‘ ahh its finally done’ and I feel relieved. I think it was great we made the album.

Tomoya: theres new types of riffs in it and there were a lot of new challenges I faced making it, the sounds also came out really good. Im very satisfied by it.

Taka: I have a lot of confidence. Finally, we did what we want and what we like. Like being ‘free’ we were able to express ourselves  more. I guess after we made the band and thereafter, we had bigger thoughts of wanting to succeed. According to that we did the recording but I think we were able to achieve what we wanted to succeed.

About tittle

Taka: this was the motto of my life. I lived thinking like this.  Actually for this album, the tittle should’ve been more stylish but to me as the vocalist of one ok rock, as taka, I had a great feeling towards this. Due to environmental changes and also the changes within myself I thought about all that. This was something I wanted to insert into the album. Then when I was thinking as to how exactly should I do that, there was a bit of a ‘lame’ feeling but, I felt I was myself already.  Overall, I just wanted to accept myself. Well it dosent really need to be explained but I live to risk myself making music and this band towards this thing called life so, how do I say this, I guess its sort of like a presentation of this timing that I made this album so I gave this tittle.

 i just want to thank everyone for reading my translations.
Something that i just started for 'fun' hoping to get more OOR fans to understand what they were saying made me have a small archive blog for you all so you guys can refer anytime.

Thank you for the messages you've sent me to thank me for the translations and im really grateful that you all are able to understand. because honestly there were times when i translated a sentence and thought "is this even English!?" so yeah. Thank loads for telling me its understand-able haha.

Well, just a note here, Im leaving for a holiday today or like right now,  so i wont be able to translate anything or the next 1 or 2 week or so.
SO, if you have anything you want me to translate or just want to tell me what OOR's been appearing on please do leave me a message on tumblr or my twitter.
When i get back, if there hasn't been any translations done already, i'll try my best to translate them :D

NHK Soundcreators File Part 13 : Fan mail part 2

Taka: that was juvenile by one ok rock. Well we’re getting a lot of mail so lets listen to them. Toru-san!

Toru: okay! Eh kem-san a girl.

“ is there an artist where you guys were influenced by or a vocalist and guitarist, bassit and drummer you respect. “ well a song is fine as well..

Taka: ahh okay…I guess as a band we were most influenced by foreign bands. But within japan I think would be “rize”. For foreign band there are too many and we cant pick one out so… what about ryota? A bassit you look up to.

Ryota: well basically I have a lot. Theres a lot of cool bassit out there and I learn from all of them. I guess its mutemath’s bassit. His name is Roy Mitchell Cárdenas.

Taka: even from the name is it cool!

Ryota: yeah his name just shouts “COOL!” the way he play is also cool. I learnt a lot from mutemath.

Taka: okay…eh what about tomoya?

Tomoya: ehh for me who would it be? I cant really boil down to one. Well for band I really like the used so…the drums in the used…I always listened to it and found it really cool so..but really to say someone is good is hard. Because that time we went to watch 21 pilots the drummer was cool too. So from there I guess I get my inspiration (?)

Taka: ahh okay. How about toru do you have a favorite guitarist?

Toru: for me recently, a guitarist which I felt was “awesome!” would be red chili’s john. John is really the best guitarist among the history of guitarists of red chilli. He also can be said to have built up an image for red chilli.

Taka: he’s a very impressionable guitarist.

Toru: yeah he was. I really likehim.

Taka: didn’t they just change the guitarist? Well I recently saw their video and the gutartist looks exactly like john!

Ryota: yeah the guitarist how he moves

Taka: how he move its exactly the same! Its like the young john came back to play. I got a big shock.

Ryota: well you must really respect him.

Toru: yeah I really respect him. The person who went in  probably is younger then him and also respected john so he went in I guess.

Taka: as a vocalist I don’t really have one. But I have a lot of favorite songs and artists and I’ve been influenced by different people. As a band I think would be “RIZE”. They are the most influential.

“ I listened to the first broadcast of soundcheck files. When I see the four of you on tv, I feel very at peace. Even this time I felt very relaxed. I enjoyed listening to the many stories you all spoke of the four of you that got along and also about the band. One ok rock, when im sad, happy or feel just out of it, however I felt you guys always make me at peace. [taka: that makes me happy] I can proudly say you guys are the best. Doing what you like at its best, I respect you guys who do what you love. Even if you guys were to get into a relationship I will still support and love you guys as I did before.  In the future, however one ok rock will become, I will still support you guys. The question I have is, how would you like to meet as us fans?”

Taka: as a band we really appreciate the fans who support us. Their the 2^nd important thing next to the band, the fans. Well, for us, just buy our cds, listen to our songs and come to our lives, we are very happy just by that. We don’t need anything else. We don’t even need presents, we really don’t need anything. That’s how we feel when we perform at our lives. We want the fans to come to our live and find/experience things they never felt before and bring that back with them. That how we deeply feel.

There isnt much we can give back to you guys. So we feel great just by you guys buying our CD, coming to our lives and listening to us. Well, for you guys to buy our CD we will continue to create great music as well and we hope that until we die we can make it as a band. We hope the listeners will do this as well.  We will do out best so we hope you guys will do your best as well.

Taka: this month’s host for soundcreator’s file is one ok rock.  At this point we have some mail.

 [everyone:oh!!]

Taka: I would like to read some of this mail. Would you read them for me?

Tomoya: Okay!! leave them to me!!!

Taka: hmm okay

Tomoya: the name is udon-ken-san

Taka: oh udon-ken –san okay.oh?! shes from kagawa-ken  Shes  female?

tomoya: yes shes a girl from kagawan-ken.

“its been only a month since I became a fan. [taka: that’s fast eh!] I always listen to music in my car on my way back from work. Oncee I start the engine I would play ‘one ok rock’ and feel that im back home already. [everyone: ohhhh~]Though its rock, my heart feels very at ease listening to it. I hope that you guys will continue to make such heart-warming music. A question for this group I really love, what was the message you really wanted to send across in this album, jinseiXboku=?”

Taka: ahh okay. Well overall, it’s just the tittle itself. “jinsei” is something that people are born into and carry on into as the live. Well according to people, there may be those with a short life then there are others who live long as well. With this life, what are we actually risking to get?/what are we doing to risk to get what we want.  This was the theme we put up and made this album. Well in summary of what we wanted to say was to this thing called ‘life’. The emotions have, the things we obtain, motivation and our dreams and hope there are many things. The stronger they are they will be, the bigger they are, they will be. This term “life” will grow in a huge number and before you die you get and answer as to what ‘life’ was.

[everyone: yes]

Taka: that was what we wanted to send across through the album. This is actually my life motto but I hope everyone of us will fill it in and have lived a life, where when we die, we die with no regrets.  With great meaning, we made this album. there also wasn’t a tittle like this and it felt special. So if I were to explain it very simply, its something like this.

Ryota: im good at reading such stuff

Taka: oh really?! Well this was a question often asked.

Ryota: I’ll read it. Kasumi-san, shes a girl from yamaguchi-ken.

“everyone your relations are really good and im really jealous. Do you guys ever fight? Please teach me some tips for getting along so well.”

Taka: ahh okay…

Ryota: ahh that was simple right.

Taka: simple?! Well its good that the mail was simple. Well now our relations are good.

Ryota: what is it? On the other hand to answer this question it became very hard.

[everyone laughs ]

Ryota: we got along from the start right? We became close together naturally. We talk about anything among ourselves. We don’t have any secrets whatsoever. We’re like a family right?

Taka: yeah well that’s right

Ryota: then everyone thinks we are that way too. That’s why I think we get along well.

Taka: ahh that’s how it is eh..

Ryota: yeah…eh..how do you answer this!?!

[everyone laughs again]

Ryota: because we naturally get along. When we work and even in our private time we are together. Till the extent we feel uncomfortable. We don’t do secret works (working on their own accord), we just talk a lot. I think its talking a lot I guess.

Taka: having communication is the key point in getting along well. Understanding how the opposite feels.

Ryota: yeah so that’s how it is..

NHK Soundcheck part 11: Music Shuffle Ryota+Toru

Tomoya: and that was one ok rock with ‘smiling down’.

Taka: here we would like to go into a program of the show “music shuffle file”~~~ ok toru ssan

Toru: shuffle starto!

Taka: what is it?

Toru: IT HAS COME!! Pink’s nobody knows.

Taka: pink- san is a powerful lady!

Toru: yeah really! She totally matches the word cool. For a female singer…this is really a rock ballad. Really it’s a rock ballad that creeps into you very deeply. Her voice in the song and the song’s atmosphere, it all sums up the song.

Taka: ah I would like to here this song..quickly listen to it.

Toru: okay then I hope you would listen to it. Pink’s nobody knows

[Plays Pink- ‘Nobody Knows’]

Toru: that was pink’s nobody knows. Well that was a powerful song right? It’s a really good song.

Taka: when a female sings a song like that, it really will give you some energy .

Toru: I wouldn’t mind listening to it a lot of time.

Taka: mah, again, pink’s voice is very husky and is very good. She sounds like a young boy who just broke his voice. It sounds good.  Thank you for your selection.

Taka: ok to end this off, ryota-san!

Ryota: okay! Yosiah! Lets do this!

Toru: just do it.

[Shuffles]

Ryota: uuuu-wah eh? Wah its super nostalgic.

Taka: what is it? Who is it?

Ryota: eh monkey majik

Taka: it has come!

Ryota: my favorite …

Taka: the band whereby the drummer looks like ryota,  been told a million times.

Ryota: haha the drummer…its been said that he was my father.

Toru: he wears a sunglass right

Tomoya: yeah the look really alike right?

Ryota: when I was in high school I kept listening to them, but then the song that was chosen…I didn’t really intend it and I don’t really listen to it..and I felt like I want to change it,

Taka: eh you want to change it? You cant do that it’s a shuffle.

Toru: yeah you cant!

Ryota: I like this song too but…for monkey majik theres a lot of songs I like, like the song ‘tane (Seed)’,I don’t think you’ll know

Taka: I know I know

Ryota: YOU KNOW!?

Taka: it’s the name of the album as well right

Ryota: it’s a super nice song so please listen to it. I really wanted to play that song so…

Taka: then do you want to play that song? Well since it’s the last, do you want to play that song?

Ryota: okay then monkey majik’s tane, I think I will play that song.

Taka: that defeats the purpose of ‘shuffle’

Tomoya: cuz he’s fixing the song right

Taka: ahh okay then how about you introduce that song.

Ryota: ok then please listen, this is monkey majik with ‘Tane (seed)’.

Ryota: that was monkey majik with ‘tane’

Taka: this song was quite nostalgic right.

Ryota: its quite nostalgic. There was a time I only kept listening to this song.

Taka: monkey majik really writes song really well (writes with a lot of feels), their really good.

Ryota: their voice is good and ….

Taka: their brothers also right!

Ryota: yeah,.,.

Taka: their harmony is quite synchronized.

Tomoya: their melody is good also.

Ryota: you feel relaxed when you hear their song.

Taka: I understand.  It’s a good band. Well for ryota that was a special rule.

Taka: well for this round we got really worked up for it eh!

Ryota: I might really like this corner.
